The Cartagena International Airport anticipates an increase of 18.9% in the flow of
passengers arriving and leaving during Holy Week compared to the previous year.

Cartagena, March 2024. Tourism in Colombia is presented as a window of
opportunities for explorers and lovers of cultural diversity. After a
successful 2023, where destinations like Cartagena de Indias led the preferences
of tourists, the city is preparing to receive travelers eager for new
experiences. The Mayor's Office of Cartagena officially launched the Week agenda
Santa that will be experienced in La Heroica, from March 23 to 31.


This project is part of the 'Live Cartagena' campaign, specifically within
of the line of action “Live your faith in Cartagena”, an initiative of the city aimed
to promote religious tourism. Planning events for Holy Week
carried out in close collaboration with the Archdiocese, the Heritage Institute
and Culture of Cartagena, Body Tourism, Historical Center Foundation, authorities
locals and actors in the tourism sector.


In this context, we present a selection of must-see items this week, which
They capture the imagination of travelers and are emerging as authentic epicenters of
cultural diversity and celebration. Cartagena as a destination offers a rich offer

Holy Week in Cartagena de Indias will be marked by a series of events
significant that invite residents and visitors to immerse themselves in spirituality and
the culture of the region. From March 23 to 31, the city will host a

Typical Food” in the Plaza de La Aduana, and the “Sacred Music Festival” from the 27th to
